Team Lead -RCM Operations

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (required)
  • Minimum 3–4 years of experience in billing operations
  • At least 1 year of proven experience as a Team Lead in an RCM or billing environment

Key Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and billing software
  • In-depth knowledge of billing functions including charge entry, payment posting, AR management, denials handling, and reporting
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and time management skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day RCM operations across multiple client accounts
  • Lead and manage a team of billing executives and account managers, ensuring efficient execution of all end-to-end RCM functions
  • Assign and monitor tasks such as claims submission, payment posting, denial management, AR follow-up, patient billing, and reporting
  • Ensure all processes are completed accurately, within defined turnaround times (TAT), and in compliance with payer-specific guidelines
  • Monitor individual and team performance using defined KPIs (accuracy, productivity, AR days, denial rates, etc.)
  • Conduct regular quality audits, deliver constructive feedback, and implement corrective measures
  • Work closely with Account Managers to meet client expectations and swiftly resolve operational challenges
  • Prepare and present detailed weekly/monthly client-specific reports on billing performance, collections, and aging AR
  • Support continuous training and development initiatives for billing team members
  • Identify inefficiencies or recurring issues within the process and propose actionable solutions
  • Ensure full compliance with HIPAA regulations, billing guidelines, and internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
